Lately, I have gotten so many requests for cozy outfits and affordable pieces that range from straight to plus size; mainly sweaters for women. Classic, winter pieces are some of the cutest to style too. Basically, I am here to share one of my new favorite turtlenecks, from J. Crew Factory, that range from xxs-3x! Plus, you can never go wrong with adding a classic turtleneck sweater to any favorites list!
The moment J. Crew started selling plus sizes, my life changed. It’s hard having an eye for classic & cozy pieces with a small, limited option when it comes to plus size stores. I’ll be honest, as a thirty year old, it’s been hard navigating plus size fashion due to a matronly design when it comes to finding pieces in my size. J. Crew offering sizes 1x-3x was a game changer for the plus size community.
Here is my review for the Classic Turtleneck Sweater.
Review Deets:
- Tends to run a little small. I normally wear a 2x and ended up exchanging for a 3x. Therefore, my recommendation would be to size up. The website says it’s TTS – but personally, sizing up was key.
- Made of cotton, nylon, and wool.
- Machine washable is a major plus!
- Thicker collar than a normal turtleneck sweater. It’s about an extra inch of collar, giving it a super cozy vibe. I love this little addition. It really helps this sweater become the perfect cozy, winter piece to add to your collection.
- Comes in four colors: Heather Moss, Oatmeal, Bright Rose, & Black. My original purchase was the green heather moss color. It’s such a dreamy color for winter. TBH – I went back and bought the oatmeal and black after noticing they were 70-80% off during cyber week. They will continue to be on some type of sale through the holiday season.
- Available in sizes XXS-3x. LOVE THIS!!! Above all, inclusion is key.
- You can easily dress this down or dress up. I have been pairing this sweater with jeans and it’s super cute.
In conclusion, I love this sweater. Although it ran a little small for my body, it’s still cozy, affordable, and perfect for this winter season.
